If the title includes "The Secret" without any particular followup like "of Eating Peanuts", then no, it most certainly does NOT work and is FLUFF aimed purely at getting your money.

It's a scam. They are trying to say that if you pray/meditate on what you really want, it will somehow come to you. It's the New Age concept of altering reality through mental effort. If anyone could do this, they'd be very wealthy. It doesn't work.
